New Park Pizza

New Park Pizza – Howard Beach, NY

When I lived in Ridgewood, Queens, this was one of the go to spots for some amazing delicious pizza. Going back over 10 years ago this place would be really consistent with the pizzas. I was in the area on 11/2/2024 and decided to drive over with my brother to get a plain cheese pizza from New Park Pizza. It just didn’t taste or have the same feel from what I remember. It was still okay and we finished the whole pie in less than 10 minutes. I think it could have been cooked a bit longer for the cheese to melt more and the dough to harden up.

We got one plain cheese pizza and 2 slices of the pepperoni with 2 sodas. The total came out to $37, the plain cheese pizza was $22.50, pepperoni slice $4.50 each.

Ramos Pizza Store

Ramos Pizza in Monticello NY

One of my YouTube subscribers who watched my pizza video I did on Siena’s Pizza recommended I try the new spot called Ramos Pizza in Monticello, NY that opened up recently. I’m always excited to try some new pizza. We called to order a plain cheese pizza on our way home. It took them about 15 minutes to bake it. It came right out the oven and into my hands. I rushed to the car to take my videos and pictures and in less than 10 minutes I ate 5 slices while my girlfriend drove us home. I should have let the pizza rest more because it burnted the top of my mouth haha. The cheese was very thick and it was coming off the whole slice when I took a small bite. I just had some left overs this morning for breakfast and it wasn’t doing it. So next time I need to let the pizza cool off a bit before I destroy it. It was delicious to me and I will be back to try the other pizzas. My girlfriend also enjoyed it but she did say it was maybe too salty for her but I love salt and it didn’t feel salty to me. We all have difference prefrences when it comes to pizza but I think anyone who enjoys a good slice of pizza will enjoy it from Ramos Pizza in Monticello, NY.

Here are some pictures of Ramos Pizza storefront and the inside, including the menu on what they offer. I’m excited to try some of their pasta dishes and the rest of the pizzas they make.

Two weeks later on 11/8/2024 we went back to Ramos Pizza to try a different pizza. This time we went for the Penne alla Vodka with breaded chicken topping. It was really good, nice and crispy. So far this pizza spot didn’t disappoint.

Pizza in Sullivan Catskills

The Woodstock Way Groovy Eatery

I was scrolling the local Facebook groups and seen a new wood fired pizza spot opened up near us called The Woodstock Way Groovy Eatery and they offered 50% off from Oct 1st to the 3rd on their pizzas. I had to come and give them a try. I ordered the Cheese, Margherita and Pepperoni pizza. While we waited for the pizzas to cook in the wood fired oven the nice people there gave us a free meatball to taste which was a good appetizer since we were both starving since we didn’t eat all day.

Gotta Luv It Pizzeria in Wurtsboro NY

Gotta Luv It Pizzeria in Wurtsboro NY

The Gotta Luv It Pizzeria in Wurtsboro NY was one of the first pizza places we tried when we left Ridgewood, Queens to move into the woods about 10 years ago. I was excited that the town we moved in had a decent pizza shop but not so excited that they didn’t deliver to my area but I totally understood because nothing is close by when you live in the woods. Everything is 15-20 minutes one way usually.

A few days ago we got a fresh plain pie on our way home from work. The pizza was good, there was no leftovers. The biggest issue I find with smaller pizzerias is consistent pizza. One day you might think its the best pizza in the world and next week you try it again and its totally different. I would recommend giving Gotta Luv It Pizzeria in Wurtsboro NY a try if you are in the area.

Pizza Review - Pizza the Rock

3 Personal Pies from Pizza the Rock – Rock Hill, NY

Its been a few years since we had pizza from this place. We used to go all the time back when we used to ride our hawk 250 dual sport motorcycle. This is the spot we would pull over for some personal pies which we would share but it was just cheaper to get 2 to 3 personal pies.

On this day we tried the plain cheese pizza, the buffalo pizza and the chicken alfredo pizza. The plain one was okay but it had too much of the sauce taste. I really enjoyed the Buffallo Chicken and Alfredo pizza. Each of the pizzas ranged from $10 to $12. Its only 10 minutes from our house and I would eat here again.

It was 3 of eating and at the end there was no slices left. So either we were starving or the pizza was actually good =). I would recommend trying Pizza the Rock, if you are ever in Sullivan County, Rock Hill, New York.

John’s of Arthur Avenue Pizzeria

We didn’t expect much heading into John’s of Arthur Avenue Pizzeria in Milford, PA. We just purchased some cat food from Milford Pet Supply. The exhaust fan from John’s of Arthur Avenue pulled us right into the pizzeria and every slice we had we loved. I’m a huge fan of the pepperoni slice with the ricotta cheese on top, that crisp was delicious. I will be back to get a fresh pie to enjoy more than one slice haha.
