I was scrolling the local Facebook groups and seen a new wood fired pizza spot opened up near us called The Woodstock Way Groovy Eatery and they offered 50% off from Oct 1st to the 3rd on their pizzas. I had to come and give them a try. I ordered the Cheese, Margherita and Pepperoni pizza. While we waited for the pizzas to cook in the wood fired oven the nice people there gave us a free meatball to taste which was a good appetizer since we were both starving since we didn’t eat all day.
Every Saturday we got visit our KoKo’s memorial at the Forever Angels Pet Cemetery in Montgomery NY. This pizzeria is only 5 minutes away from our KoKo. This will be our new go to pizza spot on the weekends.

The cheese pizza from Villa Gaudio of Bullvile NY. We sat down to eat some pasta with chicken. I also got 3 slices because I knew that one meal wasn’t going to fill us both haha. When we got the check to pay I was still starving so we ordered a full pie to go. It only took them about 8 minutes to bake the pizza. These pictures show it right out the oven.

We hiked the beautiful Schunemunk Mountain on a beautiful day in Hudson Valley. We decided to try a new pizzeria in the are after hiking the 8 miles. Our friend recommended we checkout F & J Pizzeria in Washingtonville NY. We ordered a pizza and drove the 8 minutes from the Schunemunk Mountain trailhead.
The classic cheese pizza was really good. We ate most of the pizza on the drive home. We also got a chicken roll and that was delicous.
The undercarriage was nice and crispy.

We haven’t been to Siena’s Pizzeria in Monticello in over 5 plus years. It was always a hit or miss with the pizza. Some days it was good and others not so good. That is the main story for most of the pizzerias around us. I’m trying to get videos and feedback on all the local pizzerias in my area. We decided to give Siena another try while my brother was visiting.

We got one plain cheese pizza and it looked nice and crispy from the top but when you look at the undercarriage there was no crunch or char. The cheese and sauce tasted okay but I just wish the dough had more crunch to it. You can see in the video I shared on Youtube.

The Gotta Luv It Pizzeria in Wurtsboro NY was one of the first pizza places we tried when we left Ridgewood, Queens to move into the woods about 10 years ago. I was excited that the town we moved in had a decent pizza shop but not so excited that they didn’t deliver to my area but I totally understood because nothing is close by when you live in the woods. Everything is 15-20 minutes one way usually.
A few days ago we got a fresh plain pie on our way home from work. The pizza was good, there was no leftovers. The biggest issue I find with smaller pizzerias is consistent pizza. One day you might think its the best pizza in the world and next week you try it again and its totally different. I would recommend giving Gotta Luv It Pizzeria in Wurtsboro NY a try if you are in the area.

Here is our pizza from Pizzaiolo. We did eat it all up, well mostly me since I eat 2 and half slices by the time my girl eats one haha.
We had to go buy the cats some food from the pet store in Milford PA, which is next to John’s of Arthur Avenue Pizzeria, but the Milford Pet Supply store was closed. Normally, I get the Mowtown special from Johns of Arthurs but since the pet store was closed we decided to head down the road to Joey’s Pizza. This was our first time at this pizza spot and we were not disappointed. When we got there, we marveled over all the different choices. We ended up choosing a few random slices to test out a little bit of everything.
I enjoyed the plain slice, it had a nice undercarriage and crunch to it. My girlfriend loved their sweet chilly chicken slice. It was loaded with breaded chicken, eggplant, sweet peppers, and olives. Usually, she would remove olives from her food but she ate everything that was on the slice. She might have been hungry from hiking four short miles but she hasn’t stopped talking about the slice and can’t wait to go back for more. She also got the fresh mozzarella sliced and loved it as well. I didn’t even get to a bite of it!
One cool thing about Joey’s Pizza is that their pizza boxes are customized with the restaurant’s name and details. You can also cut out the coupon from the box and when you collect ten coupons, you get a free large pie. There is also plenty of seating inside and the place was clean. If you’re in the area, I recommend that you give Joey’s Pizza a try.

We didn’t expect much heading into John’s of Arthur Avenue Pizzeria in Milford, PA. We just purchased some cat food from Milford Pet Supply. The exhaust fan from John’s of Arthur Avenue pulled us right into the pizzeria and every slice we had we loved. I’m a huge fan of the pepperoni slice with the ricotta cheese on top, that crisp was delicious. I will be back to get a fresh pie to enjoy more than one slice haha.
